Netflix is continuing its push into nature documentaries with its latest series Tiny Creatures. The new Netflix original eschews the epic scope of mega BBC documentaries like Planet Earth and zooms in on the vibrant lives of our world’s tiniest critters. Mice, praying mantises, and itty bitty owls get to get the star treatment in Tiny Creatures.

But who is the voice behind Netflix’s Tiny Creatures? All these adorable, thrilling, and moving tales of life and death on a small scale are narrated by a familiar voice. WHO IS THE TINY CREATURES NARRATOR?

The big voice behind Netflix’s Tiny Creatures belongs to none other than Mike Colter, the star of CBS’s Evil and Netflix’s Marvel’s Luke Cage.

Colter is a 43-year-old American actor hailing from South Carolina. After years of appearing in various films and television shows (and the video game series HALO), Colter caught eyes in a juicy recurring role on CBS’s The Good Wife. In 2015, he first appeared as Luke Cage in the show Marvel’s Jessica Jones. His character’s own series would debut in 2016.

After the Marvel Netflix shows were canceled, Colter was cast as the lead in CBS’s Evil. He plays David Acosta, a Catholic seminarian who is brought in to assess the religious veracity of unexplained phenomena.
