‘The Devil All The Time’ on Netflix: Release Date, Plot, and What To Know About the Robert Pattinson Film

Netflix continues to laugh in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic with The Devil All The Time, an upcoming film starring Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson. Based on the 2011 crime novel by Donald Ray Pollock, the script was adapted by Paul and Antonio Campos, the latter of whom is also directing. Did I mention this movie stars Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson? Of Spider-Man and Batman fame respectively? This is kind of a big deal!

On Monday, Netflix released four first-look images of Holland, Pattinson, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, and Bill Skarsgard, to get people excited. And the people did get excited. Here’s everything you need to know about The Devil All The Time release date, plot, and more.

WHAT IS THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME RELEASE DATE?

The Devil All the Time is scheduled to be released by Netflix on September 16, 2020. Netflix isn’t letting a pandemic stop the content!

WHO IS IN THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME CAST?

The Devil All the Time cast is stacked in every sense of the word. Spider-man himself, aka Tom Holland, stars as Arvin Russel, the main character, in a surprisingly dark and serious role for the young Marvel star. The supporting cast includes Robert Pattinson as “an unholy preacher,” Jason Clarke and Riley Keough as a “twisted couple,” and Sebastian Stan as a “crooked sheriff,” according to the official Netflix description. Additional cast includes Bill Skarsgård, Mia Wasikowska, Harry Melling, Haley Bennett, and Pokey Lafarge. I told you this cast was stacked!

WHAT IS THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME PLOT?

The Devil All The Time is based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Donald Ray Pollock, which was critically acclaimed and won several book awards. The plot follows a group of characters who live in Ohio and West Virginia over the span of two decades—between World War II and the Vietnam War, in the ’50s and ’60s. It’s a darkly twisted gothic crime novel that includes murder, suicide, tragedy, and spider-eating. If that sounds like your vibe, get excited.
