With just four episodes left in Yellowstone Season 3, the Paramount Network drama is picking up some serious steam. Last night, the western devoted much of its attention to the case of Sila, a Native American girl who goes missing on the reservation bordering the Duttons’ cattle ranch. The tragedy prompted Monica Dutton, played by Kelsey Asbille, to recommit herself to her native community, a plotline that will carry the season through to its finale in August.

WHO IS YELLOWSTONE‘S MONICA DUTTON?
The wife of Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), Monica is a Native American who lives with her family on the Dutton ranch. In Season 1, Monica serves as a teacher at the reservation’s school, but in Season 2, she joins the University of Montana as a professor.
During last night’s episode, Monica learns about a missing indigenous girl named Sila, and she sets out with a group of students to help search for her. Unfortunately, Sila’s body is found in a ditch; afterwards, Monica agrees partners with the chief to establish a council that will advocate for their community.

In addition to Yellowstone, Kelsey Asbille is known for playing Tracy Stewart in Teen Wolf and Marissa in comedy series Embeds. The actress also appeared (as Kelsey Chow) as a teenager in series including The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, One Tree Hill, and Disney XD’s Pair of Kings.
