The new Will Ferrell Netflix movie, Eurovision, is pretty much exactly what you would expect when you hear the words “Will Ferrell Netflix movie about Eurovision.” That’s not necessarily a bad thing—sometimes you need a dose of immature dumb-funny comedy to get you through the week.

Technically titled Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, this comedy written by Ferrell and Andrew Steele, and directed by David Dobkin (Shanghai Knights, Wedding Crashers) stars Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as two amateur Icelandic singers who, thanks to a freak accident, end up representing Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest. For Americans who don’t know, Eurovision is an international song competition hosted every year since 1956, and it is a very big deal in Europe. Ferrell, whose wife is Swedish, is a huge fan of the event. While diehard Eurovision fans may be less-than-thrilled to see an American parody of the spectacle, just know it was done with love.

Eurovision should appear on Netflix at 3 a.m. ET on Friday, June 26. That means if you’re living on the west coast, you should be able to watch the film at midnight on Thursday. If the clock strikes 12 a.m. in Hollywood, California, and you still don’t see Eurovision on your Netflix, you could try refreshing the page, or logging out and logging in again.
