ABC Sets ‘CMA Best of Fest’ Concert Special Featuring Luke Bryan, Garth Brooks and More

CMA Fest may be canceled this year, but ABC isn’t letting country fans down. The network announced today that they’ll be carrying on the CMA Fest tradition with CMA Best of Fest, a three-hour concert event hosted by Luke Bryan featuring over 25 performances.

CMA Best of Fest is a collection of performances from the last 16 years of CMA Fest, since it moved to downtown Nashville in the early 2000s. To celebrate the annual event, Bryan and Darius Rucker will join together for a brand-new performance as part of this year’s special.

Other artists appearing in the ABC event include Trace Adkins, Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Billy Ray Cyrus, Dan + Shay, Lzzy Hale, Sam Hunt, Joan Jett, Lady A, Miranda Lambert, Lil Nas X, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Dwight Yoakam and Zac Brown Band.

Bobby Bones, Jim Gaffigan, Kirk Herbstreit, Peyton Manning, Lionel Richie, Rob Riggle, Gwen Stefani, Michael Strahan and Rita Wilson will all make special appearances as part of CMA Best of Fest.

The annual CMA Fest takes place in Nashville and has been featuring all of the most popular acts in country music since its first year in 1972. After this year’s event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the festival has been rescheduled to next year in June.

The Country Music Association is planning another event to accompany CMA Best of Fest. A few days earlier, they’ll premiere the CMA Summer Stay-Cay, a livestream event hosted by Budweiser. The July 1 event will feature live performances and Q&A sessions from more than 50 artists, and kicks off at 6/5c on CMA’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Musicians Jimmie Allen and Lindsay Ell will host.

CMA Best of Fest will air July 9 at 8/7c on ABC. Watch the promo for the event in the video above.
