With the news that Disney+ is officially making a Percy Jackson TV series, the fandom for Rick Riordan’s hit fantasy series is at an all-time high. In the movie, our favorite Percy Jackson heroes are back to wield their godly powers and save the world. Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) is once again enlisting the help of his closest friends Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario) and Grover (Brandon T. Jackson) to confront the utmost evil creatures. This is not at all unusual for Percy: after all, he’s the son of Zeus. Both the books and the adapted films follow his life at Camp Half Blood, a summer camp for demigod children.
This sequel follows the beloved trio with a handful of new sidekicks, like cyclops Tyson (Douglas Smith), on a quest to find the Golden Fleece. It’s somewhere in the titular Sea of Monsters. Percy hopes to use the healing powers of the Golden Fleece to un-poison Zeus’s protective tree at Camp Half Blood. If he can’t heal it in time, they’ll all be in danger.
