Long before TV was put on hold, The CW aired the biggest, boldest superhero crossover in the network’s history: the five-part “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” Stretching over five plus hours of television including episodes of SupergirlBatwomanThe FlashArrowDC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning, “Crisis on Infinite Earths” brought together every superhero in the Arrow-verse, plus cameos from the DC Comics DC Universe shows, the 1989 Batman movie, and so many more.

But as exciting as this crossover was when it aired at the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020, it’s extremely tricky to watch online. Not only because some shows haven’t finished their seasons yet — looking at you, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow — but also because the current streaming atmosphere has bifurcated to the point where network-mates don’t necessarily end up on the same streaming service — looking at you, Batwoman. With that in mind, here’s how you can watch “Crisis on Infinite Earths” Parts 1-5 Online:

How to watch Supergirl Season 5, Episode 9 “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One” online?

If you want to jump right into “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” I have some bad news and some good news. The assembled heroes fight against the Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) will be coming to Netflix… But not yet. Since Supergirl‘s abbreviated fifth season ended on Sunday, May 17, it’ll debut on Netflix eight days later, i.e. Monday, May 25. At that point you’ll be able to stream all 19 episodes of Season 5 that aired before coronavirus shut down production.

Episodes of Supergirl are also currently streaming on The CW’s website and app, but the network only streams the last five episodes at a time, with some exceptions — which we’ll get to in a second.

There’s also another option if you love Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl and want to watch the whole season, and “Crisis on Infinite Earths”: a Blu-Ray set will debut on September 28, with an extra disc that contains all episodes of the crossover, and some bonus features. However, the DVD version will only contain Supergirl Season 5, and some show specific bonuses, so make sure you’re picking up the right set.

How to watch Batwoman Season 1, Episode 9 “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Two” online?

Here I’ve got some good news, and some bad news! The good news is that unlike other CW shows, all of Batwoman Season 1 is currently streaming on The CW’s website and app. However, you’ve only got a limited time to catch it there: on May 27, Batwoman Season 1 will be moving to HBO Max, not Netflix. This is part of a deal with The CW where shows previously on Netflix will continue to be on Netflix; while other shows will be shopped around, including Batwoman.

That means if you’re looking to check out “Crisis on Infinite Earths” with only one streaming service down the road, it’s not gonna happen.

The other option for watching the, er, final season of Ruby Rose’s turn as Batwoman is the Blu-Ray, which will release on August 18. Same as above, it’ll come with an extra disc containing all five episodes and bonuses.

How to watch The Flash Season 6, Episode 9 “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three” online?

I’ve got some good news, and some good news: The Flash Season 6 is currently on Netflix, so go have fun! It’ll also debut on Blu-Ray on August 25 with that handy “all episodes” bonus disc, if you prefer.

How to watch Arrow Season 8, Episode 8 “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four” online?

Stephen Amell’s final season of Arrow is also currently on Netflix, and debuted on Blu-Ray on April 28; meaning if you want to watch the crossover right now, the Arrow Blu-Ray is possibly your best bet.

How to watch DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 5, Special Episode “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Five” online?

First of all, if you’re confused about the “special episode” thing, that’s mainly a designation that this was an extra episode of Legends Season 5, added for “Crisis,” and it will appear as part of the season in any streaming or physical collections. That said, Legends of Tomorrow is still airing on The CW, with the finale on June 2. That means it won’t be added until Netflix until Wednesday, June 10; and the Blu-Ray set hasn’t yet been announced. Other than the Arrow Blu-Ray, if you’re going to want to finish the epic battle between good and evil, you’re going to have to wait.

What about Black Lightning Season 3, Episode 9 “The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis”?

Great question! One of the big events of “Crisis” was joining the Black Lightning universe with the other CW superhero shows (it previously was unconnected). A special episode of the Cress Williams starring series aired between Batwoman and The Flash, explaining how Black Lightning ended up tangling with the other heroes. Season 3 is currently on Netflix, so you can check out the tie-in episode there!

Hold up, I need two streaming services or a Blu-Ray player to watch “Crisis on Infinite Earths” Parts 1-5?

Don’t worry, there are other services you can use to stream all five parts, but they’re going to cost you. Full seasons of each series are available on Prime Video, or you can buy individual episodes for $1.99 in SD, $2.99 in HD. iTunes also has full seasons or individual episodes, also for purchase for $2.99 each. Or, yeah, you can subscribe to both Netflix and HBO Max, and wait a few weeks until Legends debuts. Your choice!
