TLC Orders ‘90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined’ Spinoff Starring 40 Previous Cast Members

Just when you thought the 90 Day Fiancé extended universe couldn’t get any larger, TLC defies expectations and orders another spinoff series. According to Variety, TLC has announced 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined, a five-episode limited series starring 40 of the show’s previous stars. The new series will be taped entirely by the cast members, some of whom are living with their partners, and some of whom are still maintaining their relationships from across the globe.

Variety reports that 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined cast members began taping their daily lives this week, and they will be shooting confessional interviews with producers via video chat in the near future. Normally, TLC reality series operate with a large crew, but network president and general manager Howard Lee insisted that the limited series will operate differently. “Our crew is not near them physically at all,” he told Variety. “They will be helping them remotely.”

As such, viewers should expect Self-Quarantined to look a little rougher than a typical broadcast. “This series will look very hot-off-the-press — it will look like the paint has not dried,” explained Lee. “I think our audience is incredibly forgiving right now, and I’m hoping that they accept the way it looks. It will be messy!”

But despite the unique look, the spinoff series will still deliver a hefty dose of drama. TLC made sure to select fan-favorite couples from the franchise’s six-year history, including Pedro and Chantel, Colt and Debbie (pictured above), and The Other Way‘s Corey and Evelin.
