April showers bring May flowers… and a slew of new TV shows and films available to stream on Hulu. As we kick March to the curb, we prepare to welcome Bong Joon-ho’s Oscar-winning film Parasite (April 8), the final season of Future Man (April 3), and the beloved 2009 classic Zombieland to Hulu. Another new title that streamers seem to be excited about is TLC’s Taken At Birth.
Premiering on TLC in October of 2019, the six-hour special follows the story of the “Hicks Babies,” the name given to more than 200 newborn babies illegally sold by a small-town Georgia clinic during the 1950s and 1960s.
“We are proud to tell the profound stories of loss, hope, and reunion that make up Taken At Birth,” TLC President Howard Lee said in a statement. “This special event shows a different side of TLC, while embodying the heart, hope, and human connection that speaks directly to our viewers.”
Hulu subscribers who’ve already streamed the series have one question: Will there be a Taken at Birth Season 2? Here’s everything we know.
HOW MANY EPISODES ARE IN TLC’S TAKEN AT BIRTH?
TLC’s 2019 special consists of three episodes.
WHEN WILL TAKEN AT BIRTH EPISODE 4 ARRIVE ON HULU?
Taken At Birth was billed as a “three-night/six-hour special event.” As of now, there’s no fourth episode of Taken At Birth.
WILL THERE BE A TAKEN AT BIRTH SEASON 2?
This is tricky. The way the show was promoted leads one to believe that it’s a limited series, but considering the breadth of the story, TLC could do a followup season on the “Hicks Babies” or pivot to a whole new story.
Thanks to the show’s Hulu debut, the series is generating buzz, so a second season isn’t out of the question. But considering the series was billed as a “special event,” I’d say a Season 2 is unlikely.
