Pornhub Makes Premium Content Free — And Donates 50,000 Masks To Fight Coronavirus

An unlikely hero has emerged to help fight the coronavirus. In an effort to help keep medical workers safe and keep the public inside, Pornhub is offering its services to the public — the company announced today that it’s donating 50,000 surgical masks to medical workers in New York City — a major hotspot in the U.S. — and to encourage social distancing, they’re offering free Pornhub Premium to all of their users.

As part of Pornhub’s COVID-19 relief efforts, the masks are being distributed across the city: the Uniformed Firefighters Association, first responders from New York City’s Local 2507 and Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital are all recipients.

Long Island’s Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital got 20,000 of the 50,000 masks sent from Pornhub. “These masks are mission critical in the fight against the COVID pandemic,” Joe Calderone, senior vice president of the hospital, shared in a Pornhub press release today. “They will help keep our nurses, physicians and support staff safe from infection while caring for those who are stricken with the disease.”

Extending its efforts beyond New York City, Pornhub is granting access to its premium content (which differs from the standard website fare with its high definition videos and on-demand streaming) to the entire world. “With nearly one billion people in lockdown across the world because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s important that we lend a hand and provide them with an enjoyable way to pass the time,” said Pornhub Vice President Corey Price today’s press release. “We hope by expanding our offer of free Pornhub Premium worldwide, people have an extra incentive to stay home and flatten the curve.”

If free Pornhub is the incentive people need to stay inside right now, we’ll take it.
