The Toy Story saga continued in 2019 with another billion dollar movie that captured the hearts of fans of all ages. Toy Story 4 brought back beloved toys like Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie while reintroducing Bo Peep and creating a few new fan favorites along the way. You better believe I’m talking about Forky, everyone’s favorite manifestation of existential dread!

Toy Story 4 proved that there’s still plenty of life in Pixar’s very first franchise, and we love spending time with these toys. And while you can probably still find the movie in a theater sorta near you, you won’t have to in a few weeks. That’s because Toy Story 4 is coming to VOD, Blu-ray, and eventually streaming. But when will it be released and where will it stream? Here’s everything you need to know about Toy Story 4’s home release!

When will Toy Story 4 be released digitally?

You can add Toy Story 4 to you digital collection on October 1 when it’s released in 4K Ultra HD and HD on iTunes, Amazon, FandangoNow, Vudu, Google Play, Movies Anywhere, or your preferred VOD service. Note that digital copies of the film will also be available with 4K UHD and Blu-ray copies.

When will Toy Story 4 be available to rent digitally?

While a specific release date has not yet been revealed, movies tend to become available to rent on the day their Blu-ray is released. If that’s the case, and it most likely is, then you’ll be able to rent Toy Story 4 at your fave VOD store on October 8.

When will Toy Story 4 Blu-ray be released?

You can add Toy Story 4 to your Blu-ray shelf on October 8. The film will actually be released in multiple formats: 4K Ultra HD (also includes a Blu-ray and digital copy), Blu-ray (also includes a DVD and digital copy), and DVD.

When is Toy Story 4 coming to DVD?

There are two ways to buy Toy Story 4 on DVD starting on October 8. A DVD comes with the Blu-ray edition, and a standalone DVD will also be available to purchase.

What special features will be included?

Blu-ray, 4K UHD, and digital copies will include the following special features:

• The Toy Story 4 cast talking about their favorite toys
• A focus on Woody and Buzz’s relationship throughout the franchise
• A “Bo Rebooted” featurette about the reimagined, classic Toy Story character
• “Toy Box,” a collection of close-up looks at the new characters featured in the film including interviews with the voice actors and director
• A featurette about Ally Maki (voice of Giggles McDimples) learning how to record a voice for an animated character
• Deleted scenes introduced by director Josh Cooley
• Audio commentary

Additionally, digital copies will include another deleted scene and an “anatomy of a scene” look at key scenes from the film.

Again, not going to happen! That’s because in two months, Disney movies will have a home of their own…

When will Toy Story 4 be available on Disney+?

Now we’re talking! As with all Disney movies going forward, Toy Story 4 will stream exclusively on Disney+. The new streaming service launches on November 12 and while Toy Story 4 won’t be available at launch, it will arrive later. How much later? We don’t yet know how much time will pass between theatrical and streaming release dates, but it’s likely Toy Story 4 will be added in either January or February 2020.

However, while Toy Story 4 won’t be on Disney+ at launch, a spinoff web-series starring Forky (Tony Hale) will be! You’ll be able to stream Forky Asks a Question when Disney+ launches on November 12.
