When Will ‘Billions’ Season 5 Premiere?

That’s a wrap on the fourth season of Billions!

In last night’s finale, the season-long battle between Chuck and Connerty reached a dramatic conclusion, and the war between Axe Cap and Taylor Mason Capital came to a surprising end (or did it?). Without getting into spoilery specifics, the finale teased both a new partnership and a new romance for Season 5. Also, semi-unrelated, but isn’t it crazy that Billions has only produced 48 episodes over four seasons? It feels like it should be nearing 100.

Speaking of new episodes, Decider’s here to tell you when you can expect the next season of Billions. When will Billions Season 5 premiere on Showtime? Here’s everything we know.

HAS BILLIONS BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 5?

You know it! Showtime renewed the series for a fifth season back in May.

WHEN DOES BILLIONS RETURN? WHEN WILL BILLIONS SEASON 5 PREMIERE?

*** UPDATE: Billions Season 5 premieres Sunday, May 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET on Showtime. ***

Since the season just ended, Showtime has yet to announce an official Billions Season 5 release date, but you don’t have to be as smart as Taylor to figure out when the series might return. Let’s look at the data:

Season 1 of Billions premiered on January 17, 2016.
Season 2 debuted on February 19, 2017.
The first episode of Season 3 aired on March 25, 2018.
The fourth season of Billions premiered on March 17, 2019.

Assuming the series maintains a similar schedule, Season 5 of Billions should premiere in March or April of 2020.
