BlacKkKlansman

Auteur Spike Lee’s latest critically-acclaimed film, BlacKkKlansman tells the wild and true story of a black cop (John David Washington) infiltrated the KKK with the help of a fellow officer (Adam Driver). Topher Grace shook off his nice guy persona to play white supremacist David Duke, a role so harrowing he had to spend his downtime re-editing The Hobbit just to get his mind off it. You can buy BlacKkKlansman right now at full price, or wait and rent it on November 6.

House On Haunted Hill

Maybe you’ve heard about Netflix’s new series The Haunting of Hill House? It’s based on a 1959 horror novel–and has nothing to do with The House on Haunted Hill. The House on Haunted Hill was a 1959 horror film starring Vincent Price as an eccentric millionaire who lured people to a haunted house, promising them riches if they survive the night. Making matters even more confusing, both Haunting of Hill House and The House on Haunted Hill got movie adaptations in 1999; the former is the film The Haunting starring Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The latter is what you see above, a campy haunted house movie starring Geoffrey Rush, Famke Janssen and Peter Gallagher. Make sense? If you need more clarification, you can always rent House on Haunted Hill for just under a dollar in iTunes, just to see how it really differs from Haunting of Hill House!
