Andrea Barber’s ‘Fuller House’ Vlog Is the Perfect Holdover While We Wait for Season 4

The wait for Season 4 of Fuller House has been a long and painful one for fans of the outrageously popular Netflix sitcom. After getting double doses of episodes in 2016 and 2017, 2018 has been all crickets on the Fuller House front. Where are those episodes?! Netflix renewed the show in January, so what’s taking so long?! Kimmy is acting as a surrogate mother for Stephanie, and we need to see how Fuller House does pregnancy hijinks!

While we still don’t have a definitive release date for the next season, there is one new, super rad way to get your Fuller House fix while you wait for the saga to resume. That’s because Andrea Barber has started vlogging.

You read that right: Kimmy Gibbler herself is totally vlogging about the new season right now on YouTube!

The actress (a true comedy trailblazer, in case you didn’t know) launched her YouTube channel just over a week ago, posting an intro video that was equal parts “why is this a thing” and “here is this thing I’m now doing.” Plus: cute dog cameo!

Then she immediately found a use for these videos when she posted another one asking for clarification on some modern lingo the writers are putting in Kimmy Gibbler’s Season 4 vernacular. It’s delightful, relatable, and also involves Cardi B.

After getting the rundown on Cardi B’s catchphrases, Barber posted a thank you vid to all the fans that gave her the slang rundown.

But all these videos were mere prelude to THE MAIN EVENT: Andrea Barber vlogging actual Fuller House tapings!!

If you are as big of a multi-cam sitcom nut as I am, this up-close and super casual behind-the-scenes look at a live sitcom taping will be as fascinating and informative as it is fun and entertaining. Not only that, but you get to see her co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure pop in to boost Barber’s vlogging confidence. THE SHE-WOLF PACK IS REAL, Y’ALL.

The most recent video goes behind the scenes of a run-through day during Bure’s week as a first-time director. Fuller House fans know that the IRL friendship between this cast is a big part of the show’s appeal, and watching Barber beam with pride at seeing her BFF of 30 years take charge is really great.

And while these vlogs are super fun and informative, they also contain some relevant details for people hungry for Fuller House updates. Like, for one thing, Barber candidly reveals that not even she is sure when the new season will arrive on Netflix, but she guesses that it’ll probably be December. But who knows! Maybe there’ll be more updates in future vlogs?

The Fuller House-less stretch we’re all in right now is a bummer, and that’s these vlogs are the cure for this slog. Keep’em coming, Kimmy!
