The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ All-Athletes Champion Is…

After a whirlwind four-week season, the all-athletes edition of Dancing With the Stars has crowned its dancing champ. The winner of Season 26 is Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon!

The finale episode featured Rippon and professional dancing partner Jenna Johnson squaring off against fellow ice skater Tonya Harding and partner Sasha Farber, and football player Josh Norman and partner Sharna Burgess.

Rippon snagged a perfect score (30/30) and standing ovation for his first routine, a jazz number. Rippon’s competition, Harding and Norman, earned a 26/30 and a 27/30, respectively.

His follow-up, a freestyle routine to Pitbull and DJ Kass’ remix “Scooby Doo Pa Pa” that Rippon called “different” and “fun,” was short of perfection, earning him a 28/30. Harding and Norman both got perfect scores in the freestyle competition.

Before doing his freestyle dance, Rippon said, “The Mirrorball has now taken on a new meaning, someone like me is accepted and I feel loved.”

Rippon, who won a bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics as part of Team USA, adds the a Mirrorball Trophy to his collection. Co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews bestowed the honor upon Rippon after he won. Pro dancer Jenna Johnson shares the win with Rippon, having won her first trophy in her second season as a pro on the show.
