Crackle’s Upfront Reveals Mira Sorvino Heads to ‘StartUp’ and Minnie Driver to ‘SuperMansion’

Sony Crackle announced the Season 2 launch of Snatch,  the addition of Minnie Driver to the Season 3 recurring cast of SuperMansion and unveiled a first-look clip of Mira Sorvino in her new role in StartUp, among other news at its upfront Tuesday in New York City. Here are some of the highlights:

Snatch star and executive producer Rupert Grint announced via a taped piece from the set in Spain’s Costa del Sol, that the series’ second season will debut in September. The streaming network also released a first-look clip (see below).

The streaming service released a first-look clip of Sorvino (see below) in her recurring role in season three of StartUp. She plays NSA Agent Rebecca Stroud who has come to investigate ArakNet. The series is set to return in November.

Driver has been added to the Season 3 recurring cast of Emmy-nominated stop-motion animated comedy series SuperMansion. She’ll voice Debbie Devizo, Dr. Devizo’s ex-wife and former League of Freedom team member. Her character will be introduced this fall.

Sony Crackle also unveiled a development slate of scripted projects from Cameron Litvack (Quantico), Kevin Connolly (Entourage, Gotti), best-selling novelist Neal Shusterman and Jon Hurwitz (Cobra Kai, Harold and Kumar franchise). They include dramas Heart of Darkness, Hustle, Cry Victory, and Limitless: Origins, and the comedy Squad Goals Squad.

The network also greenlit new unscripted shorts from Embassy Row and is partnering with NRG to develop a new eSports series.

In addition Sony Crackle announced the acquisition of the Nitro Circus’ “Action Figures” franchise, including the new movie, Action Figures 2, which will premiere in June. In addition to the movies, the network is adding five of Nitro Circus’ TV series, including Crazy Train, Nitro Circus Live, AmBADASSador, Oh Sh*t Moments and World’s First.
