‘The Sandlot’ Got A Must-Watch Reenactment By The Milwaukee Brewers

There are many ways to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Sandlot. For the Milwaukee Brewers, this meant recreating their favorite scene and posting it to Facebook.

There is something awfully special about grown men, and pro baseball players at that, reenacting a scene from the family sports flick, and let’s just say, maybe these guys should stick to big league baseball instead of acting. Not that we don’t appreciate the sentiment!

If you’re wondering who’s who here, check out this handy lineup:

  • Christian Yelich as Benny
  • Brett Phillips as Smalls
  • Stephen Vogt as Ham
  • Eric Sogard as Squints
  • Hernan Perez as Yeah-Yeah
  • Jeremy Jeffress as Kenny
  • Josh Hader as Bertram
  • Chase Anderson and Jett Bany as brothers Tommy and Timmy Timmons
  • Hank the dog as “The Beast”

And since teams are still in spring training and might have a little extra time on their hands before the baseball season officially starts, maybe other teams want to challenge them and reenact another scene from the movie? Just putting it out there!

If that includes you, there are several ways you can watch the classic ’90s film at home. The Sandlot is currently streaming on HBO Go and is available to rent on Amazon Prime Video.
