Last night’s Academy Awards were full of plenty of snubs and pleasant surprises; Greta Gerwig‘s bittersweet coming-of-age story Lady Bird was completely shut out, Dunkirk took home 3 awards, and while we may have been rooting for a sneaky victory for Jordan Peele‘s Get OutGuillermo del Toro‘s The Shape of Water earned top honors with the Best Picture award at the end of the evening.

Get Out may have lost Best Picture, but Peele still made history with a win for Best Original Screenplay as the first black screenwriter to ever take home the award – and he may very well have made history with his post-Oscars celebration, too. Peele toted his trophy over to the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where he reunited with best pal and former collaborator Keegan-Michael Key.

Peele also celebrated with wife and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Chelsea Peretti and old friends like Key and Nick Kroll, and while the party got underway, he wound up meeting (and swapping awards with) Olympic ice dancing brother and sister Maia and Alex Shibutani (AKA the “Shib Sibs”). Who needs a Best Picture win when you’ve got your wife, best friends, and some Olympians by your side?
