Imposters is now on Netflix! If you’re like me, you’ve been waiting to re-binge the full 10-episode season of Bravo’s best scripted series, which premiered at the beginning of 2017. If you’re also like me, you’ve been trying to convince everyone you come in contact with, from your co-workers to your favorite Starbucks barista, to watch this show. There is something for everyone here, and if you slept on the sexy, suspenseful series, it’s time to wake up and indulge in what is sure to be your new favorite show.
Inbar Lavi stars as Maddie, a con woman who seduces her marks until they fall in love and marry her and then she takes everything they’ve got. Well, except for their desire for revenge which rages on when her exes team up to track her down. Rob Heaps, Parker Young, and Marianne Rendón form quite the dream team of wronged lovers as they traipse around the country with a shared mission: find Maddie and make her pay.
There is of course so much more to Maddie (and the variety of other identities she takes on), and the show excels at keeping viewers guessing even more frequently than every step of the way. Imposters is a spy thriller and revenge fantasy mixed with a romantic comedy that adds up to an experience that will leave you shocked and laughing and gasping and cheering. The action and mystery and jokes and twists, with love at the center of it all, make for one of the best binge-watches you could ever lose yourself in.
Imposters is fierce and fun and features a cast you’ll soon fall in love with (no promises they won’t steal your heart though). Oh, by the way, that cast includes Uma Thurman in one of her most kickass roles to date (and that’s saying something). With expert disguises and unexpected alliances sprinkled along the way, this show is just so damn endlessly enjoyable throughout the entire journey.
The hour-long show is relentlessly slick and smart and surprising and proves to be an excellent escape — and also my very favorite show of 2017! And the best part about it all, is that Imposters is returning for season two VERY soon. Not soon enough, if you ask me, but still, very soon (PSST: We finally have a season 2 premiere date!). So now is really the most ideal time to watch all of season one and get on-board with your new favorite Bravo binge-watch.
