When Does ‘Sneaky Pete’ Season 2 Come Out?

Sneaky Pete may not be as buzzed about as fellow Amazon Prime show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but the Giovanni Ribisi-starring crime drama was actually the most-watched Amazon original of 2017 in the United States (and #2 worldwide). The series–which also stars Marin Ireland, Margo Martindale, Peter Gerety, Libe Barer, and Shane McRae–follows Ribisi’s con man character Marius as he gets out of jail and immediately gets in trouble with the gangster he previously ripped off. In order to hide in plain sight, Marius takes over the life of his old cellmate Pete (sneaky!) and reconnects with Pete’s family.

Season 1 was packed with thrills and plot twists, and Season 2 looks to include even more captivating crime drama. But there’s one mystery Sneaky Pete fans haven’t been able to solve… until now. That mystery? When does Sneaky Pete Season 2 debut? The answer: Friday, March 9.

Amazon revealed the premiere date in a press release, which also included a rundown of what Marius is up against in the second season of the Prime series. For one thing, his fresh start with Pete’s family will be interrupted by some of Pete’s old enemies–enemies that want face time with Pete’s estranged mom (Jane Adams) and the millions she stole from their employer. Oh, and Marius is totally gonna try to steal those millions for himself, while keeping up his Pete ruse and keeping Pete’s family alive.

If you haven’t seen Season 1 yet, then now is the time to get on that before Season 2 arrives on March 9. As Decider’s Josh Sorokach said of the series when it debuted: “The series exudes a jaunty confidence as it deftly blends humor, action, and drama to deliver an exhilarating cocktail of unpredictability.”
