Netflix’s runaway hit Stranger Things thrives on ’80s nostalgia, feasting on it like a demogorgon feasts on house cats. But even though the show has incorporated everything from horror films to superhero comics, there’s one part of the decade that they’ve steered clear of: sitcoms.

The ’80s were ruled by sitcoms, the cheesier and slapstickier the better. Now, thanks to Jimmy Kimmel Live, we know what Stranger Things would look like if it drew inspiration from that colorful corner of ’80s pop culture. Perfect Stranger Things mashes up TGIF pioneer series Perfect Strangers, reuniting Balki (Bronson Pinchot) and cousin Larry (Mark Linn-Baker) and introducing a cantankerous new roommate into the mix: Irish monster Dem O’Gorgon.

This wacky trio gets into all sorts of trouble, like when Dem slimes Balki’s toothbrush and Cousin Larry sneaks up on Dem while they read the paper. Oh, the hilarity–that is until Dem gets hungry and snacks on a dog.

The parody, which uses a practical demogorgon suit that is somehow just as unsettling as the Netflix show’s CG monster, also stars four of the Stranger Things kids: Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, and Caleb McLaughlin.

And if Perfect Stranger Things doesn’t scratch your ’80s itch, then I have four words for you: Full House of Cards. Yikes.
