“Are you gonna bark all day little doggie? Or are you gonna bite?”

25 years ago today, Reservoir Dogs, Quentin Tarantino‘s debut feature film, made its theatrical debut and perhaps granted us one of our bloodiest, most absurd auteurs in American history. It may not have been apparent at the time, but the film would go on to become one of the most beloved crime movies in recent memory, an early showcase for some of today’s biggest working actors, and a treasure trove of ever-quotable lines referenced in a slew of films.

This heist film may have left any number of impacts on you; “Stuck in the Middle with You” might have been ruined for you forever, your tipping habits may have changed based on a certain famous monologue, and you may very well have hated it and decided you’d never watch another Tarantino flick again (though we doubt that’s true, since you’re reading this). But really… how could you resist this? With a cast featuring Michael Madsen, Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Tim Roth, and Tarantino himself, it’s impossible not to be mesmerized by every single bonkers bloodbath.

Do you know what this is? It’s the world’s smallest violin playing just for you readers. Check out the slideshow above for a handful of trivia bits you may not have known about Reservoir Dogs.
