If you’ve already breezed through all 9 episodes of Fuller House Season 3, you’re probably thinking one thing: “Only 9 episodes? How rude!” Instead of going for the full 13-episode season like they did the last two times around, Fuller House’s third season gave viewers four less episodes!

Except not really. You see, Fuller House’s third season is actually its longest one to date–you’re just not seeing all of it at once. Instead of dropping 13 half-hours all together, Season 3 actually consists of 18 episodes that have been split up into two halves. What you just finished watching was, in fact, the first half of a longer-than-usual Season 3! So maybe don’t bust out the “How rude” just yet. But when is the rest of Season 3 coming out? Are fans of the She-Wolf Pack going to have to wait months (or even a year) for more episodes?

Before we discuss what’s next for the Fuller/Tanner/Gibblers, let’s look at where we’ve been.

Does the first half of Season 3 end on a cliffhanger?

Oh mylanta, does it ever! The first 9 episodes of Season 3 are tied together by the running subplot of Steve’s (Scott Weinger) wedding. Steve’s marrying his fiancee CJ in Japan, and we get episodes where Kimmy (Andrea Barber) auditions to be their wedding planner and another whole physical comedy setup wherein CJ catches Steve’s ex DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) in her wedding dress. Whoops!

The final episode of Season 3A sees the show’s cast on their flight to Japan for the wedding, and things get, well, complicated. DJ and Steve are still close, possibly too close as far as their current significant others are concerned, and they just saw each other together in wedding attire (albeit DJ was wearing CJ’s dress). And there’s the fact that we learned last season that DJ was actually gonna pick Steve over her current boyfriend Matt (John Brotherton). Oh and BTW, Matt is totally planning on proposing to DJ in Japan! While on the flight, Kimmy and Steve traded seats without letting DJ (in a sleep mask) know–and that’s when DJ told who she thought was Kimmy all her worries about seeing Steve marry someone else. Except Kimmy didn’t hear her, Steve did. Uh oh! Will that ruin the wedding? Are DJ and Steve meant to be together? Have mercy!

So when does the rest of Season 3 come out?

Fuller House will finish up its third season on December 22, 2017. You actually don’t have to wait that long! In fact, if this was the old days and new Fuller House episodes aired every Friday on TGIF, episode 10 of this season would actually air on December 1–so in a way, this is kind of a throwback to how TV seasons used to work. So while it’s a little annoying that you can’t watch the entire DJ/Steve/CJ/Matt love rectangle play out at once, know that you’re getting 18 episodes of Fuller House this year and you don’t have to wait that much longer for more.
