Created by Nat Geo WILD, Puppy Days is as innocent as reality TV gets. The series follows six different families who have decided to adopt puppies. However, these new forever homes only have a little over two months to train their newest family member. There’s not a competition at the end or — god forbid — a high-stakes penalty for ill-behaved pups. There are just a lot of adorable dogs and new families who love them.
There’s also an educational element to Puppy Days that should be useful to many dog owners. Puppy Days shows how to prepare your house for pups, introduce a dog to your animal-filled household, and how to correct common behavioral issues. However, unlike Dog Whisperer or My Cat from Hell, Puppy Days is all about positivity, not criticism and punishment.
But I don’t have a puppy, you may be saying to yourself. Can I still enjoy Puppy Days? Absolutely. Much like how I’ve enjoyed every iteration of House Hunters for years though I don’t own a home and I love Top Chef even though I can’t cook, Puppy Days can be appreciated by everyone. If you’re missing something cute, snuggly, and perpetually happy in your life, check out this animal-focused reality show. It’s sure to brighten your day.
