What ho, terrible movie fans! Prime Video might have just become your favorite video streaming service. Many of the most popular RiffTrax titles — Sharknado, Sharknado 2, “Manos” the Hands of Fate, and Abraxas, Guardian of the Universe — are all available to stream for free with your Prime subscription.
In cast you’re unfamiliar, RiffTrax are hilarious – and unofficial — audio commentaries for films that maybe don’t deserve the credit. See, RiffTrax spun out of Mystery Science Theater 3000. They use many of the same writers and performers of the show and it’s essentially the same idea. A trio of comedians watch a terrible B-movie and spice it up with jokes. Today you can see them perform live or you can purchase a film with the commentary included.
Which brings us to Amazon…. There are currently six RiffTrax films available with a Prime subscription. Additional RiffTrax titles are available for free only with a CONtv subscription and still more are available to rent or purchase.
