A brand new study conducted by Tivo’s Digitalsmith firm has determined that most Netflix subscribers would not be willing to pay more than $15 for the streaming service. The relevant research question was formed on the heels of the platform’s recent price hike from $9 to $10.
According to The A.V. Club, over 3,000 individuals were polled for the firm’s Q2 2016 Video Trends Report, which tackles a variety of American viewing, streaming and spending tendencies. 30% of those polled declared that they wouldn’t pay more than Netflix’s current price of $9.99 per month, while 40% said that they would go as high as $15 per month before they considered dropping the service entirely.

Netflix has ordered a late night talk show of sorts hosted by Bill Nye that will be titled Bill Nye Saves the World. The brand new series, which is set to launch in 2017, will explore different topics through science and how they tie into politics, pop culture and society. [Deadline]
CBS’ SVOD platform CBS All Access is now offering an ad-free on-demand option for subscribers at $9.99 per month. According to a press release, there will also be a cheaper option for a reduced commercial plan at $5.99/mo. The platform currently offers the latest full seasons of primetime hits such as Big Brother, Blue Bloods and The Odd Couple among many others.
UFC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone revealed while on The Joe Rogan Podcast that he has been cast in Netflix’s forthcoming limited series, Godless. Cerrone claims he will be featured in six total episodes of the 1884 period drama from Scott Frank and Steven Soderbergh, which stars Jeff Daniels, Jack O’Connell, Merritt Weaver and Scoot McNairy.
