Netflix has unveiled a brand new featurette titled “Beyond The Grave” for the upcoming second season of Bloodline, exploring the role of the departed Danny Rayburn. In the clip, which is chock-full of cast commentary and behind-the-scenes footage, Ben Mendelsohn (who will appear in the new season) makes it clear that Danny’s influence on the Rayburn family is far from over.

“These guys had a game plan the whole time,” says Mendelsohn of show creators Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler, and Daniel Zelman. “They knew exactly what they were going to do.” The cast further explains how most of the season will focus on Danny’s chaotic past, including his relationship with his kept-secretive son Nolan (played by newcomer Owen Teague). All episodes of the new season will debut on May 27th.
