Netflix can be credited with half of last year’s TV ratings drop, but that doesn’t mean Hulu is about to let its competitor soar without resistance. The streaming service has locked up the exclusive streaming rights for the critically acclaimed documentary He Named Me Malala, reports Variety. The documentary focuses on Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, who was wounded by Taliban militants while advocating for girls’ education in 2012, when she was just 15. Director Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) portrays the Yousafzai family’s dedication to fighting for the girls’ education and safe school before and after the attack. The movie will be available to Hulu subscribers this summer.
