Final Shots: Bryan Cranston To Star Alongside James Franco in New Comedy ‘Why Him?’

Back before he was Walter White, Bryan Cranston made his name in comedies like Malcolm in the Middle and Seinfeld. After close to a decade focusing on the darker side of humanity, the Breaking Bad star will get back in touch with his sense of humor when he stars alongside James Franco in Why Him?, reports Variety. Set over the holidays, the movie focuses on a dad who finds himself in a battle with his college-aged daughter’s tech billionaire boyfriend for her affections. The movie, which will be directed by Meet the Parents’ John Hamburg, does not yet have a release date.
