Last night, the Sharknado franchise premiered its third film, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, on Syfy. While fans may be looking forward to having 90210 flashbacks with Ian Ziering or seeing American Pie‘s Tara Reid in action, the real star of the show proved to be Cassie Scerbo.
Scerbo’s Nova Clarke was swallowed by, and later chainsawed out of, a shark in the original Sharknado film. After sitting out of Sharknado 2: The Second One, Nova makes her triumphant return in the newest installment. In this ABC Family series about competitive gymnasts, Scerbo is Lauren, a gymnast known for her snobby attitude towards her teammates and others because of her consistent first place ranking on the beam. Teen Spirit (2011)

Not Today (2013)
In this film about human trafficking in India, Scerbo plays Audrey the girlfriend to the main character Caden (Cody Longo). Caden, a rich young man, travels to India with his friends on a whim. He encounters a starving girl and her father and, after Caden refuses to help them, Caden discovers that the girl was sold by her father. Bering Sea Beast (2013)
