‘Joe Dirt’ Has Returned (Finally!) In A Direct-to-Crackle Sequel

Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser

It’s been a long, lonely fourteen years since the first Joe Dirt movie blessed us with David Spade’s be-mulleted charms. 11% on Rotten Tomatoes, $31 million worldwide gross — it’s hard to imagine it took 14 years for a sequel to get made!

If the above sounds to mean, just know that it’s in keeping with Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, a direct-to Crackle sequel in which every character takes every opportunity to make sure Joe Dirt knows what a worthless idiot he is. It would be the most significant thing about the movie were it not for the wildly random casting decisions: Dennis Miller, Mark McGrath, Christopher Walken. They’re all on hand to tell this follow-up to the story of Joe Dirt; a story that, believe it or not, sends Joe Dirt time-traveling to the past. And contains significant homages to both Silence and the Lambs and Forrest Gump. This movie kind of has it all?

Joe Dirt 2 is being touted as the first made-for-digital sequel to a major motion picture, so if you feel like making history, head on over to Crackle and bring Joe Dirt back into your life.
