Kicking off his first night as host of CBS‘ Late Late Show, James Corden noted the Internet has declared Tom Hanks the face of manspreading, while Hanks declared the Internet “an idiot.”
“Hey, Internet — you idiot — the train was half empty!” Hanks groused, in re the photo of him making the rounds, with his legs crossed on the subway. “There was plenty of room…I was not manspreading. I was just enjoying a pleasant ride on the No. 2 train.”
Corden also performed highlights from Hank’s movie career which, yes, meant Corden got to play Meg Ryan many times, but Mona Lisa just once.
Hanks shared the couch with Mila Kunis on Corden’s first night hosting Late Late Show; she took a more traditional approach, plugging her jewelry line.
