Salary: 100.000€ - 150.000€ + bonus + stock options


We are partnering with an Ecommerce startup with a focus on innovation and sustainability that is looking for a VP of Growth & Performance.


After gaining considerable traction and recognition in their sector, they will need their next VP of Growth & Performance to unlock their huge growth potential.


This is a critical role for the business, and they are looking for a hands-on leader that will help them set up a structure that will help them to scale and expand the business further in Europe and into the US & the UK markets.


In your role as VP Growth & Performance (m/f/d) you will be leading - both strategically and operationally – the Growth and Performance side of Marketing.


Online Marketing channels currently include Paid Social, OOH, Search, CRM, Onsite Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), Affiliate and Cooperations, and potentially perf.oriented Influencer Marketing.


In sparring with Business Intelligence, the Brand Marketing team and the channel owners in your team, you constantly unlock growth potential with a data-driven approach.

What you’ll be doing:


  • Develop and implement a growth-oriented marketing strategy together with your team members, and in sparring with colleagues from BI, Product, Sales, IT, Operations and C-level.
  • In sparring with Management, Head of Brand and Creative Director find new ways to increase brand awareness, optimise messaging and brand desirability.
  • Be in charge of all Marketing channels, and the brand’s online DTC distribution across markets.
  • Coordinate and constantly optimise budget allocations, especially for awareness spend in sparring with Sales and Retail, and BI.
  • Oversee and monitor all - predominantly digital - advertising channels, set priorities, manage execution and performance with monthly goals.
  • Analyse market, competitive and media landscape dynamics to identify and test new growth channels.
  • Closely monitor, track and report analytics to ensure the alignment with our KPIs (user acquisition, activation, retention, cost per metric, ROI etc.).
  • Design, implement, and track growth initiatives with an initial focus on customer acquisition, and expanding towards increasing customer retention and lifetime value.
  • Develop multi-channel marketing strategies to improve engagement, conversion and retention.


What you’ll need to be considered:


  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a similar role for an online-first consumer brand in Europe, preferably in the premium or luxury lifestyle sector
  • 10+ years in a senior marketing position with team and budget responsibility, experience in growth-oriented marketing, ideally with focus on DTC channels
  • Experience in both strategy development and operational execution
  • Demonstrated budget accountability (annual budget planning, monthly target setting, monitoring performance and achieving targets)
  • Strong leadership skills (balancing hands-on and empowering) to manage a diverse, multilingual and multicultural team of experts based in different time zones
  • Marketing experience especially in the following disciplines: Influencer Marketing, Paid Social, Search; strong Upper Funnel Marketing focus
  • A strong understanding of consumer mindset, consumer empathy and dedication to great consumer experiences
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail in management of budgets, timelines, projects and various assets/deliverables
  • Demonstrated track record of leveraging data to make informed, impactful decisions
  • Strong communication skills, English fluently, German a plus
