Overview / Purpose Of The Position

  • The Senior Copywriter will focus on the creation of compelling, accessible, and informative content for medical devices, artificial intelligence, and product certification sectors including battery certification.
  • Reporting to the Global Brand & Themes Communications Manager, the successful candidate has a strong background in writing for technical/regulatory industries, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging and accessible content.
  • Where required ensure compliance to the sign-off process for tone of voice as per Group brand guidelines and alignment to MDP 4220 for the full portfolio of RS products and services.
  • Ensuring that all communications is fully compliant with regulatory requirements across the full RS product portfolio (medical devices; artificial intelligence; product certification and battery certification).
  • Creating and executing engaging “thought leadership” communications, this position will support BSI’s market-leading position in the RS sector, strengthening profitable growth in revenue and market share whilst ensuring compliance throughout the whole of BSI.


Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality and accessible written content for various channels, including websites, blogs, editorials, news articles, case studies, and marketing collateral.
  • Industry Research: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and market developments related to medical devices, artificial intelligence, and product certification.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to develop content strategies and ensure accuracy and relevance of messaging.
  • Brand Alignment: Maintain consistency in tone, style, and brand voice across all written materials, adhering to BSI's Brand guidelines and standards.
  • SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices helping to improve content visibility and search rankings, maximizing organic traffic and audience engagement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all content meets regulatory requirements and industry standards, providing clear and accurate information to our audience.
  • Content Performance: Monitor and analyze the performance of content initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize messaging and drive results.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and advancements in medical devices, artificial intelligence, and product certification, integrating new knowledge into content strategies.


Knowledge & Experience

  • Graduate (or equivalent) with marketing qualification (e.g. CIM)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience executing campaigns in an equivalent end to end marketing role
  • Medical Device Marketing or Pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of quality assurance and certification of medical devices
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, preferably Pardot
  • Good knowledge of CRM systems ideally SalesForce.com
  • Experience using Social Media platforms (LinkedIn especially)


Key Success / Performance Indicators

  • Return on Investments (track Content creation to Lead generation).
  • Return on Investments (Content creation – Lead Conversion to quote and revenue).
  • Assemble, categorise, and analyse Voice of Customer feedback when/where possible.
  • Track client growth, generated through presentations, events and publications, by Business Unit, segment, scheme, and geography.
  • Assist in the delivery of content creation tasks within agreed timelines and budgets.


Travel Requirements

  • Post holder is expected to travel for circa 20% - mainly within the EMIEA region.


Language Requirements

  • Business level/Proficiency in English.
  • Working knowledge of French and/or German is beneficial.
