POSITION: HR Manager, Germany

We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team and drive our HR initiatives with a focus on taxation, work councils, and social security compliance.


Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of HR practices and processes in Germany. This role requires a deep understanding of taxation, work councils, and social security regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry, although this is not a fundamental requirement. The HR Manager will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategies and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Plan and coordinate the organization’s workforce to best use employees’ talents.

2. Taxation and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage payroll and ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related taxes.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

3. Work Councils:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for work councils.
  • Facilitate communication and negotiation between management and employee representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to work councils.

4. Social Security and Benefits Administration:

  • Administer social security programs and other employee benefits (e.g., health insurance, pensions).
  • Ensure compliance with social security regulations.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of benefits programs to attract and retain talent.

5. Employee Relations:

  • Foster a positive working environment through effective employee relations practices.
  • Address employee grievances and disputes in a fair and timely manner.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.

6. Recruitment and Talent Management:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of employees.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for employees.

7. HR Policy Development:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure policies are updated and in compliance with legal requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive.
  • Expertise in taxation, work councils, and social security regulations.
  • Familiarity with HR software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong German & English Speakers.
