About the Role:

The Director of Human Resources plays a critical role in driving the human resources strategy to align with the overall business objectives and ensure effective management of the organization's most valuable asset: its people. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role oversees the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives that support employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives and goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leadership on HR-related matters, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Lead and manage the HR team, including HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Specialists, and HR Administrators, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Partner with department heads to identify and address talent gaps and development needs within their respective teams.
  • Oversee the implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and programs to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee morale and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Compensation and Benefits team to design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and provide guidance and support to managers and employees during periods of transition.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team to design and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR management and incorporate them into the organization's HR strategy and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 8-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic HR management.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into HR initiatives.
  • Experience leading and developing a high-performing HR team.
  • Fluent English and German required.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
