An example of an employer who walks the talk. 🚶🏼 🍍☕Simon Mader often posts about employers focusing on what they can extract from their team and not what they can offer (sad that he has to state the obvious - the free coffee and fruit basket just ain't cutting it, but that's another topic for another day). 🧠It looks to me from the outside that this employee-focused, mindset has infused the entire business culture at ADBAKER with coolness and Mehrwert. ❓After looking through the open positions, I can only see two points that should always be includiert...if they're not already secret special bonuses ;) 🤔Can you guess what they might be? 🥨🎨So if you speak German, are a creative type, and want to work in/near Germany's awesomest city - check out their openings. P.S. I noticed the cool kids nowadays are using Anglizismen, so I droppt a couple Germanisms/Neologisms in this post. Am I doing it right?

The first project that gets all my attention focuses on Commercial Excellence in the pharmaceutical industry. As a cancer survivor, this has been both exciting and encouraging for me. 🎀 The innovation being driven by new technology even in its various intricate regulatory restriction, is truly astonishing. The future promises a more integrated healthcare system. I strongly believe in incorporating more holistic approaches into #healthcare. A #DigitalTwin could change how we think about next best actions in a way that makes sense for the industry and is the best for the patient. Bringing conversations like this to the forefront, especially with experts from #Grünenthal, #Pfzier, #Bayer and other pace setters in this industry, is very enlightening. #GenerativeAI, makes me more confident than ever that there is a better way to do things. This is a great step forward in getting to understand those limitations and possibilities. Looking forward to learning more and onboarding great minds!

🚀The Highlight of last week has been the "AI with Purpose Summit 2024" in Munich. At this "invited only" event, a great atmosphere has been created by Siemens to get the latest information on AI in industrial applications. After a motivating welcome by Siemens CTO Peter Koerte further talks by Dr. Matthias Kuss from Fresenius, Dirk Didascalou CTO Siemens Digital Industries and Rainer Brehm CEO Siemens Factory Automation have been my highlights of this event. My main technical key takeaways have been: 👍Generative AI will further penetrate robotic applications. This will also help to produce synthetic data for machine learning applications, especially in MedTech applications. 👍Photorealistic simulations will help to bring reinforcement learning to a next level. 👍Physics based simulations in combination with federated learning will further leverage AI applications in industrial applications ❤️I have been very proud to represent Siemens Healthineers at this innovative event! #digitaltransformation #smartfactory #MedTech #DFMT

In an article published yesterday in leading German business daily Handelsblatt entitled “Making life easier for carers”, Jana Ehrhardt-Joswig took a look into the role of “care robotics” in healthcare and how #nursing and other #care professionals can be supported in their important work. The article explores various approaches and solutions to the challenges faced by those providing patient care and how the physical demands and the aspect of the human touch can best be met for the sake of both the worker and the patient. German Bionic’s #Apogee+ #exoskeleton, which is already in use in numerous care facilities and hospitals such as the renowned Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin hospital, is highlighted as an example of striking this balance. Our #exoskeletons are designed to provide physical support to healthcare workers, alleviating the physical strain involved during lifting, lowering, or when working in bent-over positions. Do We Sleep Worse in Summer? This question has been on my mind lately – especially because, with a toddler at home, the process of falling asleep on bright and warm summer evenings takes particularly long. And there is indeed a connection! Studies have shown that increased light exposure and heat can negatively affect our sleep quality. One reason for this is that longer days lead to reduced production of the sleep hormone melatonin, making it harder to fall asleep. Tips for Better Sleep in Summer: 1. **Cool Your Bedroom**: Keep the room temperature around 17/18 degrees Celsius to promote optimal sleep. Keeping the curtains closed during the day can help keep the heat out. 2. **Darken Your Room**: Reduce light intensity about two hours before bedtime to signal your body that it's time to sleep. 3. **Avoid Heavy Meals and Alcohol in the Evening**: These can impair sleep quality.
