From an English teacher and CEO of my own English academy to a full-stack web developer in Austria in less than 14 months, these are my tips for you to learn front-end development (I thought about writing on full-stack, but the post started to get too big 😅): 🏰 1. Learn the fundamentals: Before you think about anything else, learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Personally, learning HTML and CSS by themselves was a bit boring, but after you start putting the pieces together, things start to become pretty cool. 💻 2. Learn JavaScript: Before going to any web framework or library, understand how JavaScript works. Understand more aspects such as: variables, data types, functions, control flow, arrays and objects, DOM manipulation, asynchronous JS, debugging, and error handling. This will bring you a very solid foundation to build upon. 🔨 3. Build projects: Try to create some simple applications where you put into practice HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before you start using fancy tools such as React, Angular, Vue, etc. This way, you will understand the problems they try to solve. Got stuck? Use ChatGPT, but try to create as much as possible. Mental struggle is good. ⚙️ 4. Select a JavaScript framework (and become really good at it, forget the rest -- don't become a 'Jack of all trades, master of none' type of developer): Once you have a firm grasp on the basics of the fundamentals, pick your tool. Personally, I enjoy very much coding with React, but you could select Vue, Angular, etc. There are plenty of options, each with its advantages and disadvantages. Bonus: 🔚 5. Learn back-end: My strategy was initially to remain in JavaScript universe learning Node.js and Express (then after a bit of Java, Python, and C), and looking back I think it was a good decision. The important is to understand more about how to build and communicate with APIs, and handle data. Basically, understand the process the data passes through before it gets to the front-end. These are some tips, I hope they help any aspiring web developer. #frontend #react #javascript #nodejs #webdevelopment #webdeveloper #fullstack #angular #vue #backend #express

Another semester as a teacher at ReDI has been an incredible experience, watching students grow so much in just three months. I highly recommend joining a volunteer team for anyone who's into sharing knowledge. Here are a few of my personal takeaways: - Explaining complex concepts in simple terms can be challenging. Yet, this process helps to structure my thoughts and deliver the essence through analogies that beginners can understand. - The more time you invest in your students, the more rewarding the results, especially when in comes to final results/projects. - The educational process should be enjoyable. While it isn't always about fun, a boring class likely is a waste of time. - One of the most difficult aspects is reminding students to compare themselves to their past "versions", even just a few weeks ago. Rather than feeling discouraged by someone else's progress.

Wow, found such a useful guide for a newbie in React development! Only in Russian, unfortunately: https://lnkd.in/d89k8vBq This is a simple step-by-step description of what to do when developing a React application. For me there is no very new information in this guide, but it helped to structure my approach in practice. I look forward to applying the tips for my next learning project! #ReactBeginner #ReactDevelopment #Programming #ReactGuide #WebDevelopment #LearnReact #ReactTips #ReactTutorial #CodingTips #ReactProject #javascript #codecademy

Again very brief article about: How event bubbling works in Javascript? In this article I wanted to empathise the basics of event bubbling. It contains an example with 3 wrapped event listeners vs. having only one. I am also explaining the difference between stopPropagation() and preventDefault()

Since I've decided to move back to Tehran, the speed of which I'm learning and expanding my knowledge for coding, especially in React has been increased. I had the chance to learn from seniors in this field and had great mentors. I improved so much that created my own NPM Package, which was kind of a dream to me. I love it! 😍 Talk about more chances, more facilities... and I've got it all Hopefully try to get the best out of it! #codinglife #webdevelopment

🔍 **Exploring the Power of .module.css in Modern Web Development** 🎨✨ Hey LinkedIn Community! Today, I want to shine a spotlight on an incredibly powerful tool in the front-end development world: `.module.css`. If you’re not already using CSS Modules, now might be the perfect time to start! ### What are CSS Modules? CSS Modules allow you to write modular, scoped CSS that's automatically namespaced. This means you can style your components without worrying about global scope clashes, leading to more maintainable and less error-prone code. ### Key Benefits: 1. **Scoping and Encapsulation**: Each class name is locally scoped by default, so styles defined in one component don’t unintentionally affect others. Say goodbye to CSS conflicts! 2. **Maintainability**: Easier to maintain as your project scales. Each component manages its own styles, making it simpler to track and update. 3. **Dynamic Class Names**: Automatically generates unique class names, which helps avoid the common problem of naming collisions. 4. **Improved Readability**: Keeps your styling close to your components, enhancing readability and making your codebase more intuitive. ### How to Get Started? 1. **Installation**: If you're using a module bundler like Webpack, you can easily set up CSS Modules with a few configurations. 2. **Naming**: Typically, CSS files for modules are named with the `.module.css` extension to indicate they should be processed as CSS Modules. 3. **Importing Styles**: Import styles into your component files and apply them directly to your JSX elements. import styles from './Button.module.css'; const Button = () => { return <button className={styles.button}>Click Me</button>; }; ### Real-World Impact Adopting CSS Modules can dramatically reduce bugs related to style leakage and improve the overall developer experience. It’s particularly effective in large projects where multiple developers are working on various components simultaneously. ### Final Thoughts CSS Modules represent a step towards more modular and scalable front-end development. If you haven’t yet explored them, I highly recommend giving them a try in your next project. They might just change the way you think about writing CSS! Have you used `.module.css` in your projects? Share your experiences or tips in the comments below! 👇 #WebDevelopment #CSSModules #Frontend #JavaScript #React #WebDesign #TechTips #Coding

I’ve been actively improving my backend skills and applying it to my project. Here’s what I accomplished over the past week: - Implemented proper HTTP status codes to ensure API communicates effectively. - Enhanced JWT authentication with a "mode" flag for secure handling of sensitive actions like payment. - Users can now update their email addresses. Tokens generated with the old email will be rejected. - I learnt Redis, a powerful caching technology, to improve application performance. - Improved Redis caching by using the "Cache-Control" header for better client interaction. - Managers can now update rooms without existing bookings. - As a dark mode lover, I added theme switching. I'm aiming to get the app up and running by the end of the month!

I'm finally done with my time at IRISA, which is one of the top companies in Iran, and I worked on two really cool projects there: Certificate Reminder Service: This app helps the company remember to renew their certificates before they expire by sending out SMS reminders. I built it using ASP.NET Web API. Parking Management System: This project makes parking management easier, especially for security. Some of the features include: Counting how many vehicles from other companies are using the parking lot. Calculating available free spaces. Tracking how long people have been parked over a certain date range. Counting how many times assistants have used the parking in a specific period. As for my experience at IRISA, I have to say, it was GREAT!
