Personal Maps Wall to bond with your colleagues (HowTo) This is a great team-building exercise for building trust within your team 🚀 At the opening of the Management 3.0 facilitator retreat 2017 in Wiesbaden Ralph van Roosmalen had a great idea of drawing each other's personal map on the big white board in the office. 🖊 (personal map is a mind map about yourself) Immediately everyone got active, we had a lot of fun and got to know each other quickly. 🕺 It was an amazing icebreaker. I loved the variation of this Management 3.0 practice. It is so simple, yet so effective. Even with long-lived teams you will be surprised how many new things you can learn about each other. ❗ (HowTo) Get your team together for about 15-30 minutes and try it out: 1.) Draw the personal maps Gather your team in front of a large whiteboard wall. Each person sketches their personal map (mind map about themselves) on the wall. Topics could revolve around family, work, hobbies, or anything else. (Alternatively, if a whiteboard wall is not available, large posters can also be used). 2.) Ask questions about each others personal map After everyone completes their personal maps, organize a gallery walk where individuals can inquire about each other's maps. (no presentations) 3.) Connect the dots If you discover similar items on the personal maps, you can establish a connection. On the other hand, if they are completely different, this can also be an interesting connection point. Let me know how it worked or if you have questions. I am excited to share that I have successfully passed the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org. This certification validates my knowledge of the Scrum framework and my ability to support and enable value creation and delivery. Earning PSPO I shows my understanding of how to bridge the gap between strategy and agile product management in order to create valuable products using Scrum.

Today I had a very insightful international co-training with Alisa Stolze & Peter Fischbach about Registered Product Owner by Agile Education by Scrum Inc.™. We used tools like Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT by OpenAI as a support for product owners and reflected as well as learned with around +30 participants over the day. Thanks a lot, Scrum Inc. and Dr. Jeff Sutherland for empowering us as trainers to work with powerful practices and tools and align with the Agile Manifestos values & principles to foster customer-focused collaboration and communication. 1 Question that comes a lot on my way as a facilitator, Consultant/Trainer and Organizational Development Architect is: - Where do I get my inspiration for generating solutions or content? How do I enables team and organizations? Here you go: - I stay eager to unlearn. - A lot of my content management and organizational development solutions come from the world of sports. (Probably the art of Gamification) - Taking inspiration from people is important, but observing dynamics off the field (when you are not doing what you usually do to inspire and earn a living on this planet) gives me a bouncing board. - I take a lot lessons from success too. Despite of achieving great results it’s critical to have a tool that can help us tap areas which can be volunarable. To help our teams do their best, it's good to know about Test-Driven Development (TDD). ◾ Even if we mainly talk about Scrum, looking into TDD can help a lot. 🔶 Why? Simple: The more we know about TDD, the better our team's work will be. Let's talk about Test-Driven Development in this post. TDD: Making Better Code! ◾ What's TDD? Before writing their main code, developers first write tests. This way, they make sure the code does what it should. ◾ Why Use TDD? Better Code: Helps make sure our code is strong and right. Safety: When changing the code, tests make sure nothing breaks. ◾ How Does TDD Work? First, developers write a test for a new job or task. Next, they write just enough code to pass that test.
