Successful Electronics Recycling Collection Event! 🌍♻️ Our colleagues from the thyssenkrupp Uhde USA Houston office successfully hosted an Electronics Recycling Collection Event. All our employees were able to bring in their old electronic equipment that was no longer needed. Hundreds of pounds of electronics were collected, including old TVs, computers, laptops, printers, radios, etc. Thanks to the incredible participation of our employees, we were able to recycle many electronic items and reduce e-waste. #thyssenkrupp #Uhde #USA #Recycle

International Plastic Bag Free Day 🌍✔️ This global initiative aims to eliminate the worldwide use of plastic bags. Plastic bags may seem like a grocery shopping convenience, but they are also a huge strain on the environment. Our colleagues from thyssenkrupp Uhde Inventa-Fischer are developing innovative PLA bioplastics. The feedstock for the PLAneo® process is lactic acid. PLA can be used to substitute a wide range of materials such as PET, PP and PS, helping to conserve fossil resources and reduce CO2 emissions. With an average grade of 1.0, he achieved the best graduation results at his school this year. 🏆 The Hans-Uhde-Foundation awards a gold medal and cash prize to the student who achieves the best results in his A-levels. She currently holds the position as a Senior Process Engineer at thyssenkrupp Uhde in Thailand, contributing her creativity and technical expertise to a more sustainable future. We asked her how to inspire future generations of young women and girls to pursue careers in engineering: “In my opinion, it is important for a woman to believe in her potential, her courage, and feel confident while working to reach her goal without using gender as an excuse,” explained Warinsiri. Rajesh Kamath, CEO & Managing Director, thyssenkrupp Uhde India, recently spoke at the 12th Professional Development Conference (PDC) organized by the American Society for Safety Professionals India Chapter in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and @ICOH Scientific Committees. During his address, he shared insights on the evolution of safety culture in the industry and noted that the industry has now progressed from reactive to proactive safety measures. He highlighted the challenges faced by the current safety culture in India, including regulatory compliance and workforce training. He discussed the promising future shaped by digitalization for innovative safety management and to overcome challenges such as data security and technology integration.
