After three years of dedicated service and leadership at TAKKT, CEO Maria Zesch, has decided to step down from her role. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Maria for her unwavering commitment and the remarkable impact she has had on our company. Maria’s journey at TAKKT has been one of great leadership and transformation. Under her guidance, TAKKT developed from a portfolio of individual companies into an integrated group of companies with a strong focus on customer needs and sustainable products. She positively shaped the culture and sharpened the market positioning of our company. Furthermore, in this transformation she gave TAKKT a new vision “We bring new Worlds of Work to life by Caring about our People, Planet and Customers Success”.  We are pleased to announce that Andreas Georg Weishaar will be succeeding Maria as CEO as of August 1st ad interim. Andreas brings a wealth of executive leadership experience including in-depth knowledge of the end and supplier markets relevant to TAKKT and the digitalization of customer and business processes. He has a proven track record in our industries and is very experienced in driving growth and fostering innovation. We invite our stakeholders, partners, and the entire TAKKT family to join us in expressing our gratitude to Maria and to extend a warm welcome to Andreas as he embarks on this new journey with us. Our New Worlds of Work team Gregory Noens, Hannah Wagner, and Daniel Jurado Schmoock explored our in-house production - innovative operations led by Ingo Patzer.  An inspiring experience highlighting our in-house production's commitment to innovation with hands-on testing and a strong focus on sustainability. Many of our in-house production innovations have come from our own employees, providing solutions to challenges that our customers are facing.  A prime example of how we address megatrends is by designing our innovations to improve ergonomics, making warehouse-work more accessible to women and also enabling lifting of heavy loads. We are curious to see what the future collaboration of our new Worlds of Work Department and the in-house production will bring out! At TAKKT, we understand how important transformation is and amidst tomorrow's evolving work landscapes. Megatrends drive us, sustainability guides us. We are thrilled to announce that our efforts for sustainability paid off again: Our innovative Enkelfähig Score earned us the German Award for Sustainability Projects 2024 in the sustainable evaluation systems category at Tuesday’s ceremony at Bertelsmann Representation in Berlin! At TAKKT, we believe in creating a future that is not only sustainable but also beneficial for generations to come. The Enkelfähig Score, an innovative evaluation system currently implemented in our kaiserkraft webshop but with further rollouts planned across all divisions, is a key part of this effort, making sustainability in our product offerings transparent and measurable for everyone, by giving clear insights into the sustainability of each product. I am pleased to announce that two new members were appointed to our Supervisory Board during today's TAKKT Group General Assembly: Please join me in welcoming Hubertus M. Mühlhäuser as our new Chairman and Stefan RÄBSAMEN as a new member of the Supervisory Board. Hubertus Mühlhäuser brings a wealth of experience to our board, including his previous role as CEO of CNH Industrial, one of the world's largest capital goods companies. His understanding of customer perspectives and his knowledge of the foodservice market, gained during his tenure as CEO of Welbilt Inc., a global leader in commercial kitchen equipment, will be very valuable to us. Stefan Räbsamen, with his background as Partner and Chairman of the Board of Directors at PwC Switzerland, brings significant expertise in auditing, due diligence, transformation, and capital markets to our Supervisory Board.  I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Thomas Schmidt and Florian Funck for the excellent and trusting collaboration over the past years. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board and as a long-standing member of the committee, both have significantly supported and accompanied the new strategic direction and the integrated setup of our group. We as TAKKT embark on the new chapter and I am looking forward to a great and prosperous collaboration with Hubertus and Stefan - as well as with Aliz Tepfenhart, Alyssa Jade McDonald-Baertl, Johannes Dr. Haupt and Thomas Kniehl. Proud to share the key takeaways from the 25th Shareholders’ Meeting of TAKKT AG, which was once again held in a virtual format. Our shareholders supported all the proposals put forth by the Management and Supervisory Boards, including the approval of a total dividend of one euro per share. During my speech, I provided an update on our strategic initiatives and highlighted how our current measures are positioning the group for a sustainable future. The keyword that is needed right now is resilience, meaning embracing flexibility and the courage to change. For TAKKT Group, this translates to maintaining our focus on Growth, OneTAKKT, and Caring. We will evaluate our approach and make adjustments where necessary. Looking ahead, we remain committed to accelerating growth beyond our long-term historical trend, significantly improving profitability, and ensuring strong cash generation. Grateful for the continued support and confidence of our shareholders as we navigate the path forward. We have just published our results for the first quarter of 2024. In a very challenging environment, we have strengthened our #resilience with improvements on gross profit margin, cash generation and structural adjustments of our cost base. "In discussions with our B2B customers, we continue to see a great deal of restraint and uncertainty. Many companies are reducing their costs, investments, and staff. We expected a difficult start to the new year. This has been confirmed." says CEO Maria Zesch We confirmed our full year guidance and expect organic growth to increase and the adjusted EBITDA margin to improve over the course of the year. Celebrating a Sustainable Milestone in our Emission Reduction Initiative!🌍  Rolf Schiffel, our EVP Operations, and Ingo Patzer, Director Production at kaiserkraft Haan, together with representatives of the city Haan activated our photovoltaic system for the kaiserkraft inhouse production. This marked an important event with the inauguration of 3,472 solar panels on the roof of our production halls and signified the launch of carbon-neutral electricity. ☀️ Generating Clean Energy: With a peak capacity of 1.44 megawatts (MWpeak), this solar installation will produce 1.39 megawatts of climate-neutral electricity annually. But the benefits extend beyond our organization - excess power will be fed back into the grid, benefiting households and businesses in the region. 🌱 Commitment to #Sustainability: Already three years ago, we embarked on an ambitious journey to transform our site’s lighting to energy-efficient LEDs for our inhouse production, resulting in an impressive 80% reduction in energy costs. Simultaneously, we revitalized extensive roof areas, laying the groundwork for the installation of our photovoltaic system. We continuously enhance energy efficiency in our offices and warehouses also by driving forward a greener fleet. In 2024 our two company sites in Haan and Pfungstadt togehter will save 1300t CO2 emissions by taking advantage of renewable energies and this is only the beginning.  Big Thank you also goes to our Sustainabilty-, Operations- and Production-Team in Haan!
