✈ Our Aviation Newsletter for Q2/2024 has just been published. The highlights of this edition are: ➟ The first months of 2024 saw a continued and strong demand for air travel. The positive trend was mostly carried by the international segment, with strong momentum especially in the Asia Pacific region ➟ IATA predicts a net profit of USD 31 billion for the aviation industry, a noticeable increase from the estimated USD 26 billion in December 2023 for the full year 2024 ➟ New aircraft delivery delays, coupled with quality issues that continue to persist with Pratt & Whitney's geared turbofan (GTF) engines but also at Boeing’s production, are expected to strain the supply of new aircraft, complicating fleet management capacity for airlines. As the major OEMs keep delivering fewer new aircraft, the secondary market attracts more attention ➟ Demand for spare engines continues to rise. 👉 Our Infrastructure Debt team shares its views on current market developments in its quarterly newsletter, including these topics: ➟ In the first quarter of 2024, there were 624 transactions amounting to USD 177 billion. This 9% decrease compared to the first quarter of 2023 can be attributed to geopolitical and macroeconomic stress factors.
