Last week, we welcomed our 🇳🇱🇧🇪 partners in Amsterdam for our 3rd Retail Media Summit to talk about the future of Retail Media 🌍 Here are our #RetailMedia key takeaways💡: 👉 Shift from Retail Media to Commerce Media: The focus is no longer just on Sponsored Product and Brand Ads; it now includes full-funnel and in-store advertising. Omnichannel advertising and sales attribution are becoming essential. 👉 Non-Endemics Playing a Bigger Role in Retail Media: Research indicates that consumers have a positive attitude toward this form of advertising. Non-endemic advertisers gain access to sales channels and audiences that were previously out of reach, and retailers tap into incremental budgets. It's a win-win-win situation 💯. 👉Investing Online Pays Off Offline: There is a direct relationship between online advertising and offline (in-store) purchases. The average Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) increases by a whopping 42% when offline sales are included in attribution 📈. 👉 Cumulative Effect of Different Strategies: The combination of various strategies (Sponsored Products, Commerce Display, and Audience Extension) has a cumulative effect on sales. Although the ROAS of individual marketing products might seem negative, the overall impact of these combined strategies is positive on overall sales.
