⚡☀ With an installed capacity of 5.4 MWp, Rosh Pinah Solar Park (RPSP), is an embedded solar PV plant located in Rosh Pinah, Namibia which supplies electricity to Rosh Pinah Zinc Corporation (RPZC). The plant was developed, built and is operated by Emesco Energy Namibia. ✅ meteocontrol implemented a complete solution consisting of a Power Plant Controller (PPC), professional monitoring and digitalized service management through VCOM Cloud. 🗣 „meteocontrol has supported us as our trusted partner from the initial planning and concept of the plant monitoring, control and service management to the commissioning and grid feed-in. At present meteocontrol provides an important solution to manage and optimize the asset,“ says Pieter Rossouw, Director at Rosh Pinah Solar Park. 🔌The PV system will replace 30 percent of the fossil-fuel heavy energy that RPZC currently purchases from the national utility. In its first year of production, Rosh Pinah Solar Park produces 14,532 MWh (Clean Development Mechanism - Standard baseline – Grid emission factor for South African Power Pool (ASB0040-2018)) of electricity. ☀ Today we are taking you to one of the largest solar parks in Hungary: The Lumen Park Szolnok. ⚡ The system with a total installed capacity of 138 MWp is located in the county Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and is able to generate enough electricity to cover 42% of the county’s household electricity consumption. For the owner SolServices Kft. and the EPC Greencells Group, meteocontrol designed and implemented a comprehensive asset management, plant control and monitoring solution. ✅ The result: An optimal plant operation and a customized solution for Hungary that can be implemented quickly and functionally, from which future projects can benefit. Eight systems have been built with KS Energy Group on the Balearic island of Mallorca. The German company plans and implements photovoltaic systems in the utility sector in Germany, France and Spain. 😊 ✅ The specialty: The Spanish islands are subject to even stricter grid connection rules than the mainland because maintaining grid stability is more sensitive. In addition, the grid on an island must be regulated more quickly. meteocontrol has a certified solution for this with the blue'Log XC. In addition, the entire project has an installed capacity of around 22 MWp. The energy generated corresponds to the consumption of around 9,500 households. "meteocontrol provided us with competent support for our projects from start to finish. This also enabled us to meet the special Spanish requirements. All systems are monitored in VCOM", says Arthur Seitz, Technical operations management at KS Management.
