🇩🇪 Exploring #Germany's Vision for a #SustainableEnergyFuture: Key Highlights from the #NetworkDevelopmentPlan 2037/2045 Germany is stepping boldly towards a sustainable future, aiming for greenhouse gas neutrality by 2045 in alignment with the European Green Deal and the Federal Climate Protection Act. The Network Development Plan 2037/2045, released by TSOs, explores various pathways to co2 neutrality, from moderate transformations to rapid shifts featuring maximum renewable expansion and domestic hydrogen production. Here's what we found particularly interesting at Entrix  1️⃣ #RapidExpansion in #RenewableEnergy 💨☀️Current capacities include 61 GW of onshore wind, 8.5 GW of offshore wind, and 81.8 GW of solar power. By 2030, targets are set at 115 GW for onshore wind, 30 GW for offshore wind, and 215 GW for solar. Meeting these targets requires more than doubling the current installation rates, posing challenges in infrastructure and investment. 2️⃣ #BatteryStorage #Growth: 🔋 Battery storage is crucial for grid stability and integrating renewable energy. The plan outlines scenarios with storage capacity reaching 18-36 GW by 2037 and 21-44 GW by 2045. Scenario A, with slower electrification and high hydrogen imports, leads to lower storage targets. Scenario B suggests moderate electrification and storage growth, while Scenario C, the most ambitious, involves rapid electrification and the highest storage targets. Wichtige #Highlights: 🔹 Dauerhafte #Netzentgeltbefreiung: Die Strategie schlägt eine dauerhafte Befreiung von den Netzentgelten für Speicheranlagen vor, was für die Investitionssicherheit entscheidend ist. Aber reicht das aus, um die notwendigen Großinvestitionen anzuziehen? 🔹 #Baukostenzuschuss (BKZ): Die Reduzierung oder der Verzicht auf den BKZ für netzdienliche Speichersysteme ist ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung.
