COSMO Goes Green: Partnership with Plant-for-the-Planet🌳 Our COSMO forest is growing and growing. We have already donated over 10,000 trees in the name of our employees and customers. That's around an area of over 2,000 square metres. We are happy about every single one 😍 But they haven't been planted yet. All the trees donated this year via Plant-for-the-Planet will be planted in Mexico in 2025 in large-scale planting events. Until then, everything is being prepared for this. COSMOnauts put people in the center 🧡 As part of the COSMO CONSULT 12x1.000 program every year 12 COSMOnauts have the chance to receive 1.000€ support from COSMO for their social engagement. Operations Team Manager Daniel was drawn by lot for this project in May. Mucoviscidosis is a congenital metabolic disease about which very little is known. Sufferers are dependent on an environment that is as sterile as possible and are therefore often very limited in their lives. Daniel, Team Manager at COSMO, knows the tricky disease first-hand: his little nephew is affected by it. Playing outside without restraint or helping to empty the dishwasher at home: Impossible for little Emil. To raise awareness of the disease and promote research, he and his wife support the Mukoviszidose e.V.. As "Team Emil", they collect donations and organise the MukoMove movement competition in their association TSC Emsdetten Young & Old. Fit into the summer together! 💪️ 2 teams, 2 months and endless sporting spirit - that's the best way to describe the fitness challenge organised by our COSMOnauts in Vienna. Whether running, cycling, hiking, volleyball or strength training - the aim was to motivate as many team members as possible to exercise on the same day. 🚴🏐 Both teams showed incredible commitment in the competition for the trophy. 🏆 To round off the day, the winners were invited by the other team to a barbecue together. Hands-on Learning: COSMO CONSULT x FH Oberösterreich 🎓 As part of an exciting project, students on the Master's degree course "Communication, Knowledge, Media" at University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria spent two semesters taking a close look at COSMO's onboarding process. With their comprehensive surveys and in-depth analyses, they gained valuable insights that were incorporated into a well thought-out concept for optimising our onboarding process. The result? COSMOnauts put people in the center 🧡 As part of the COSMO CONSULT 12x1.000 program every year 12 COSMOnauts have the chance to receive 1.000€ support from COSMO for their social engagement. Working Student Nicola was drawn by lot for this project in April. Medicine can often provide limited help to people with paraplegia. However, where therapies fall short, modern technology can sometimes fill the gap. At the Technische Universität Berlin, a transdisciplinary team of over 40 students is developing a robotic exoskeleton, a wearable device that enables movement by mechanically linking technology and the body. 🔬 Nicola is actively working on the RISE - TU Berlin (Research and innovation in student exoskeleton development) project. It will still take some time to be ready for practical use, but the next milestone is the CYBATHLON, an international competition that brings together technology developers and people with physical disabilities.
