Visitors were thrilled to have the unique opportunity to see these amazing machines up close and immerse themselves in their history. 🎢 The event was packed with fun and interactive activities! From free night rides and driving sessions to an exciting display by the Truman Steam Locomotive Foundation 411 – the evening offered something for everyone. 🌟 Major Achievement for METRANS Rail in Poland! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that our Polish METRANS Rail has received an extension of the Entity in Charge of Maintenance Certificate until June 23, 2029! This significant achievement confirms our commitment and expertise in the maintenance of railway vehicles. 📄 What is the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (#ECM) Certificate? The ECM Certificate is an official document that confirms a specific entity is responsible for the maintenance of railway vehicles. This certificate is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of railway transport. An entity with the ECM certificate must ensure that vehicles are maintained according to relevant technical and safety standards. 🚉 Our Locomotives, Our Pride! Thanks to this certificate, we will continue to proudly manage the maintenance of our five shunting locomotives at the sidings in Gądki, Pruszków, and Dąbrowa Górnicza. These locomotives, of three types (6D, 101D, TEM2), are key players in our daily operations, and we are very proud of them. 🛠️ Flawless Maintenance is Key Based on our meticulously crafted Maintenance System Documentation, we ensure that all vehicles are regularly directed to the necessary levels of inspections and repairs. 🔧 Our repair activities are in the hands of a qualified contractor, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality. 🙌 Certificate Extended for Another 5 Years The extension of the certificate for the maximum possible duration of 5 years was enabled by the excellent results of the audit conducted by the Chairman of the Office of Rail Transport this March. We had the privilege of hosting the first official meeting of the Safety Advisors of the ZLZ SR - Association of Logistics and Freight Forwarding of the Slovak Republic. 💡 We would like to highlight the significant role of the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA). These specialists are invaluable to any company that transports hazardous materials, as their presence is not only a legal requirement but also a guarantee of safety and efficiency. 🦺 DGSAs have deep knowledge and experience, which are crucial for the proper management of transporting specific types and classes of dangerous goods. Their expertise ensures that everything runs smoothly and safely, allowing us to confidently face any challenges. 💬 Experts from various fields of transportation and logistics joined us for a day filled with insightful discussions and expert insights. Yesterday #ŽESNAD CEO Martin Hořínek together with part of like-minded group „DAC Voice of Reason“ from all corners of the EU had an excellent meeting with #EUTransport DG MOVE Director General Kopczynska. They handed over their joint Memorandum reflecting the like-minded view on #DAC.  Key points of the operators: - Rail freight competitiveness should be top priority - Investment in #DAC should remain optional - Technical and compatibility challenges still exist But this work in bringing more reason to the #DAC debate does not stop here. They plan to talk to the new MEPs #EP_Transport after summer and invite all interested stakeholders to reach out and join their like-minded group and co-sign the Memorandum.

At the terminal in Česká Třebová, there was a scene straight out of an action movie – we were installing new lighting poles using a helicopter! 🏗️🚁 It was an absolutely epic sight as those massive poles took to the air and precisely landed in their positions. Now they are ready to light the way for passing trains. 💡 Did you know that helicopters can carry up to several tons of cargo and are crucial for construction in hard-to-reach places? 💪 The pilots showcased amazing skill and precision. 👏 A big thank you to everyone involved in this successful operation. 🌞 Big News from Prague-Uhříněves! 🌿 Following the recent exciting update about our new solar park in Germany, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re bringing even more green energy to our operations! A new photovoltaic power plant with solar panels is being built also at our Prague terminal. 🌞⚡ Thanks to this power plant, we'll be able to produce our own electricity from renewable sources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 🌿 Solar panels are also installed on the rooftops of buildings, producing an impressive 715,000 kWh of electricity annually. To put it into perspective: the annual consumption of a typical apartment is 4,000 kWh, so 715,000 kWh could power 179 apartments each year. Isn't that impressive? ⚡ The construction of the power plant is running while the terminal is in full operation, which is not easy. Therefore, a big tribute to all those affected. Students Discover the World of Transport and We're There! 📚 In June, we had the great opportunity to participate in the "Study Transport" event, which is regularly organized by the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic. And how did it go? In the Main Roles 🚂 Inspiring Environment: The Transport Museum in Bratislava - a place full of history and the development of transport, trains and locomotives - this place created a perfect atmosphere. 🎒 Large Attendance: The event was attended by over 1500 students and teachers from the entire region, as well as 40 exhibitors (we were one of them), who presented their stands full of interesting information and activities. 🚀 Action Program: At our METRANS stand, students could try transport quizzes, navigate challenging mazes, and learn a lot of interesting things about the world of transport - and what if they didn't know the answer to something? We were there and explained everything to them in detail! The atmosphere was incredible! The students were enthusiastic and had a lot of questions. They actively participated in our quizzes and mazes. It was clear that they were really interested in transport, which made us very happy. The exhibition in the museum, where real wagons and smaller locomotives were on display 🚆, only enhanced the overall experience. What did we take away? A lot of experiences and a great feeling that we were able to introduce young people to the fascinating world of transport. In addition to students, we also informed teachers and parents about the possibilities of internships 👷♀️ and quality excursions that we offer.
