Účelem : Budování udržitelných ekosystémů pro nativní cloudový software.
Propagace Cloud native myšlenek, projektů a softwaru. Místo, kde se setkají lidé se zájmem o moderní IT technologie. O tématech jako Kubernetes, DevOps, NetDevOps, Infrastructure as a code, cloud development, komunitní kultura.
Right-sizing Kubernetes nodes is complex and risky. Over-sizing wastes budget; under-sizing causes crashes.
Without holistic visibility, making the wrong decision impacts auto-scalers and overall performance.
PerfectScale InfraFit offers advanced insights into node resource allocation, optimizing your K8s environment effortlessly
PerfectScale Infrafit enables you to:
✅Get a clear understanding of node utilization throughout your environment.
✅Quickly identify opportunities and get data-driven recommendations to right-size nodes.
✅Evaluate the effectiveness and ensure the best output of your autoscaling (like #Karpenter or Cluster Autoscaler).
Ready to begin optimizing your nodes?

Management often seeks estimated costs for your Kubernetes project! But how to estimate the cost? 🤔
Anton Weiss discussed this topic in detail with Eli Birger
Tools like calculators can provide rough estimations—such as needing 200 cores and a certain amount of memory. The challenge lies in splitting these resources among the hundreds of available machine configurations in the cloud.
Choosing the right machine configuration is crucial for both cost efficiency and cluster resiliency. Placing all workloads on a single, potentially cheap node increases the blast radius of a node failure, jeopardizing the entire cluster.
Key considerations for planning include:
- CPU to memory ratio
- Number of machines (affecting blast radius)
- Zonal distribution
- Reservation type
A rough cost estimation hinges on these factors.
Using a node calculator helps if we can define workload reliability and performance requirements beforehand.
However, this is easier said than done.
Workloads are heterogeneous—some with small, some with large requests; some needing more memory, others more CPU.
Machine ratios are usually fixed, leading to potential resource fragmentation. For example, consuming all memory while having unused CPU, as no workload requires only CPU and no memory.
Planning Kubernetes deployments demands a nuanced approach to balance cost, performance, and resiliency.
