CyberGuy is seeking a Video Content Producer who works remotely to join our team on a contract basis.

Job Description

Video Content Producer (contract)

CyberGuy is looking for an experienced video content producer responsible for creating and delivering original short tech news videos on deadline. Your process begins with pitching stories, writing articles, sourcing broll, editing and finalizing with accuracy.

Job Highlights

• Ability to write articles, scripts, source video, and edit up to 7+ short videos weekly
• Remote contract position for those eligible to work in the United States

Qualifications

• You are passionate about storytelling
• You are the friend and family member most sought after for tech advice
• You have experience of at least 3 years in storytelling from writing, video production, and editing short-form content
• You are familiar with and know how to operate Apple, PC and Android devices.
• You are proficient with Adobe Premiere
• You have your own laptop capable of short video editing
• You are proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable
• You have great attention to detail
• You have strong news judgment and the ability to identify compelling meaningful stories
• You can think strategically and solve problems independently
• You are resourceful and able to get answers when none are apparent
• You have experience working with a team to bring smart content to life
• You may have experience in WordPress or other content management systems

Key Responsibilities

• You will deliver a minimum of 7 articles, scripts and short form videos per week 
• You will help identify and pitch video content ideas that our audience will find engaging, topical, helpful, entertaining, and relevant that complements our written articles
• You will be responsible for writing, sourcing b-roll, editing shortform tech topical and informative videos that are free of errors and follow a straightforward format to meet recurring tight deadlines
• You will collaborate with writers, editors and content managers
• You will qualitatively check your own work for accuracy before submitting it
• You have a flexible schedule to meet the demands of 24/7 tech news content production
