This week's Saturday Unboxing features a delivery from Katie Wilson of Spectrum Plastics Group, A DuPont Business to highlight their new capability to produce flexible, spiral reinforced tubing for airway management. Here we have a sample of semi-transparent, spiral reinforced tubing extruded from EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) with a 10mm smooth bore ID. The spiral reinforcement ensures kink and crush resistance, and the ends of the tubing are finished with cuffs for connecting to medical equipment. Thank you, Katie, for sending me this sample. Looking back on a rewarding summer as a marketing communicaions intern at Spectrum Plastics Group, A DuPont Business, one of the standout experiences was visiting the Jersey Shore site. I got the opportunity to see the production process in action through an interactive lab tour. It was fascinating and gave me a deep appreciation for the precision and innovation involved at this company. Another highlight was attending the Art Guild, Inc. (InnerView Group) in Philadelphia with seasoned business professionals. This event not only expanded my network but presented the impact creativity and business strategy have in the marketing world. Visiting DuPont’s headquarters with the Spectrum Plastics team was equally enlightening and offered a glimpse into corporate culture. This experience shaped my understanding of marketing dynamics while fueling my career aspirations.
